I am a writer wannabe and this budubud (which translates to "cultivated by wind" in Farsi)  is the shadowgraph of my oscillatory migration: from Tehran to Seattle and from Science to Poetry.

Trained by a scientific poet named Bud, I spend my days trying to research interfacial fluid dynamics and skin motions. In the morning and at night—powered by doubt and the delusion of achieving harmony—I try to navigate my way towards becoming a writer and a poet. To do so, I creep around topics that trigger my overthinking and oscillate around their opposite corners until it all dissipates into silence. As a fluid dynamicist this dialectic process reminds me of von Kármán vortex street resulting from a flow past a cylinder when Reynolds number is within a certain range.

Some topics that interest me are: i) immigration, ii) the art of transforming an unfamiliar space into a home, iii) hyper-individualism and its effects on depression, iv) freedom, irresponsibility, guilt, and their relation to the separation-individuation process, v) applying a scientific framework on art (and vice versa), and vi) cities (as opposed to countries) in general, and Seattle and Tehran in particular.
